Part Time Travel | Full Time Wanderlust

Traveling – it leaves you speechless, then turns you into a storyteller.

About the Blog

I've always had the desire to travel and see the world.  My life plans always involved study abroad, travel, moving to Europe for 3 months, exploring the world.  But somehow I never had the time, money or capacity to make an international trip happen.

That was until 2014 when I booked a round-the-world trip on a whim.  You can read more about that here. Seeing how easy it was to book the flights, how much I enjoyed planning the trip down to every last detail, and how eye-opening our adventure was triggered something deep down inside of me.

Portugal - 2016

The goal of this blog is to inspire and motivate you to travel, see the world, try new things, and meet new people.  I booked my first trip around the world on a crazy price glitch, so to convince you to book a trip, I will share the crazy travel deals I find here. And to help with motivation and inspiration, I will share my own itinerary planning, travel guides, stories, and adventures.

I hope you'll join along on the journey!  You can subscribe to receive new posts and travel deals directly in your inbox here.  Or, follow along on Instagram or Pinterest for travel inspiration!

About Dolce

I'm Chris Dolce Castillo - also known as Dolce.  I'm a part-time traveler with a full-time job.

I'm somewhat new to the travel world.  I didn't get my first passport until 2013 for my honeymoon, but I've always had a deep desire to explore new places and learn new things.  And I've always been one to use up all of my vacation time.

I was born and raised in California.  When I'm not traveling the world, I live in sunny San Diego, California with my husband, dog and cat.

I love food, craft beer and cocktails, history, and learning about new cultures.

I have a newer obsession with telling stories through photography.

I firmly believe that traveling breaks down barriers.  I'm optimistic for a more peaceful and kind world.

I hope this space motivates - and encourages - you to travel.
